A Couples Garden

On a beautiful Sunday morning, Living Seed Company represented A Couple’s Garden at the Historical Bently Reserve in San Francisco for the 12th annual Soolip wedding event.  We were invited to join Soolip, an Los Angeles based fine paper retail store and Malibu Compost ,the first certified Biodynamic compost in the nation, to inspire couples to a garden as a metaphor for their growing love. This garden could be used to grow the greens for their wedding or even the whole meal!

Its sounds daunting to some brides-to-be, but to the majority that heard the concept, they absolutely loved it!  The concept of the Couple’s Garden was described by one passer by, as “fresh” – something nobody has ever seen before.

As a give away, guests of the event were given a terracotta pot, a small bag of fresh compost and a sweet collection of lettuce seeds – the perfect inspiration to remind people how simple it is to grow something edible right in your kitchen window!

This years theme was Conscious  Celebrating, taking into account how a wedding party can make a global difference by choosing their objects of desire in a conscious way.  From what they chose for the menu, to their location, attire and of course, no-conflict jewels to adorn the brides finger.

In our global society, it is so rewarding to bring things back to the local level, especially on an event, such as your wedding,  that will mark a time and place in your life!
